  Faclom 900Ex exterior Marrakech Express
When we received an urgent call one morning from a member of the household of a Middle Eastern Royal family, we wasted no time in organising the flight. The Royal family member wanted eight guests to join him in Marrakech that evening for dinner - so within four hours a European based Falcon 900EX, which seats 15, had landed in Kuwait and all overflight and landing permissions had been co-ordinated. The guests arrived in Marrakech twelve hours after we had been contacted and in time to enjoy their evening meal.

Space cadets from Channel 4The final frontier… or not?
In November, we received a confidential call from Endemol, the production company responsible for Big Brother, requesting an aircraft for 20 people to fly round the UK for a new reality TV show, Space Cadets. As the contestants were being led to believe they were landing in Russia, Endemol and The Charter Company chose Lydd airport in Kent as it was away from the public eye and had no recognisable landmarks. When the ATR 42 turboprop arrived, the crew were briefed and asked to remove their watches so contestants couldn’t check the time, and all newspapers were removed. The aircraft then circled the area around Peterborough before landing in Kent just over 3½ hours later. Since the flight had already been delayed once due to fog, and with the appalling weather continuing, we had to remain in touch with the aircraft and Lydd airport throughout the flight to ensure that the aircraft would be able to land safely. An Endemol producer said “I just wanted to say thank you for your hard work over the past 48 hours, we couldn’t have even got close to getting it done without you!” (Picture courtesy of Channel 4)
